About the Rescued Animal Tails Series

The Rescued Animal Tails are stories about real rescued animals, most of which have been adopted into their "forever homes". There are all types of animals that are found to be in need of human intervention to ensure their health and safety. There are cats, dogs, horses, ferrets, and other domesticated animals as well as wild species of animals, all aided by organizations dedicated to saving lives and preventing neglect and abuse. And thankfully, there are many individuals who are willing to help these organizations through volunteering, adopting, etc.

Merlin, The Cat Who Thought He Wasn't is the first in the series that tells the story of Merlin, a terrific little "rescue" kitty, who finally found his forever home. He had grown up with dogs that he learned a lot from as a kitten, and when a little older he was adopted and with a new kitty brother, Pudge. He found himself a little confused and frustrated. He really tried hard to do new things and found out something terrific about himself! He discovered there were many more things he was able to do with a little determination and perseverance. Pudge served as a wonderful role model for him, and Merlin is quite surprised in the end!

[Sometimes a self-image is developed by something somebody else molded for us and we overlook our own potential from such a restricted view of ourselves. We're born with capabilities as well as limitations, and we are lucky when given the opportunity to discover both aspects of ourselves.]

Mary's Kitty Korner in Granby, CT is the organization Merlin and Pudge were adopted through and where the donations generated from the sales of this first book will be paid. Please drop in for a visit here: http://www.maryskittykorner.org.
